historic pricingIn the Gaming Market, competition is fearce meaning that Companies are constantly dropping and raising their prices in order to draw in customers and beat the competition with daily/weekly offers and promotions.

These price variations can greatly effect the current selling price of games on marketplaces such as ebay, so actually knowing the best time to buy and sell is an essential piece of information that we have all gone without for far too long…

Our Historic Pricing Charts are putting an end to that problem!

Each Item on gameassassin now has its very own Historic Pricing Data Graph meaning that now not only can you view current pricing data for an item but you also have access to the pricing history of it aswell!

This opens up a whole new area for Sellers of Consoles & Console Games as you can now analyse the Market for each individual Item and make informed decisions on when to buy and sell.

About The Historic Pricing Chart

Each Item listed on GameAssassin has its own individual Chart which you will see when viewing an Item’s Detail Page.

The X-Axis of the graph displays the Date and the Y-Axis represents the Price in Great British Pounds (GBP).

You can hover your mouse cursor over each price point to view the exact price recorded at that time.

Historic Pricing Data is displayed on the chart in the form of 3 separate lines. These are:
Lowest Supplier Price
Ebay Selling Price
Amazon Selling Price

Each line can be turned on or off using the checkboxes directly below the graph.

How can Historic Pricing help when you are Selling?

buy<br />
and sellIf for example play.com are running a sale on a Modern Warfare 2 for the Xbox 360 at £25 then buyers may not be willing to pay the £35 that you (or any other sellers) are selling it for on ebay if they know that they can get it on play.com for £10 less.

This greatly effects the ebay market and means that the average selling price for that Title temporarily drops. Once the sale ends on Play.com you will notice that the price you can expect to sell it for rises again meaning that now would be a good time to sell.

With our Historic Pricing Charts you can analyse the ebay market’s peaks and troughs and wait for a time to list your items when the selling price is on its way up (this is also available for selling on the amazon marketplace too).

How can Historic Pricing help when you are Buying?

Being able to purchase your stock at the lowest price is quite an important factor when competing with other sellers on ebay . So if you find a Title for £20 for example, you may think that this is a great price but for all you know it could have been on offer for £14.99 just a week earlier meaning that other sellers may have bought their stock in at that lower price and are able to sell for a considerable amount lower than you while still making a profit.

Using the new Historic Pricing Data you can see the lowest supplier price for that Item at any point in the past (for upto 12 months / begining Feb 2010) meaning that you can now make informed decisions on if that current lowest price is as good as it seems!
